What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The nature of our work requires us to collect personal information regarding our clients so as to ensure the best advice and outcomes for the client. In order to achieve this, in addition to personal information and contact details, we may also collect sensitive personal information such as information concerning health, educational attainments and information from other professionals. All information is collected with the full knowledge and consent of the client (and if the client is under the age of 16, additionally with the consent of carers).

Who we share your data with
Information is only shared for a specific purpose, such as helping the client and/or school identify and address specific barriers to learning. Information is only shared with the full knowledge and consent of the client (and additionally with the full knowledge and consent of carers for clients under the age 16 years).

How long we retain your data
Data collected is retained for the duration of the involvement of IEPS (Kent) Ltd only. Following termination of involvement all information, both electronic and in hard copy, is destroyed in the appropriate manner. Client contact details are not retained beyond involvement for any purpose.

What rights you have over your data
All clients have the right to be informed of any information held regarding them. They have the right to request access to this at any time simply by requesting this in person, by telephone, email or in writing to the contact details listed at the beginning of this document.

All clients have the right to request the removal or amendment of any information found to be inaccurate. Again, this is can be requested at any time by requesting this in person, by telephone, email or in writing to the contact details listed at the beginning of this document.

How we protect your data
Any information sent via email is sent from a secure server. The server runs a Cisco Hardware Firewall and is located in Manchester. Confidential documents are password protected.

Information sent via post is sent via special delivery and tracked.

Industry regulatory requirements
All psychologists working on behalf of IEPS(Kent) Ltd are required to be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and to be members of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Both of these professional bodies maintain high professional standards regarding consent, managing data and confidentiality.
